The deck centres on Jace Beleren, whose fractured alternate Multiverse gives the set its story. Play runs on token generation and then swapping those tokens out for the twisted alternate-reality creatures the deck is built around, which rewards patience over a long multiplayer game rather than a fast opening. Eighteen of the cards are new to Magic, two of them traditional foil mythic rares, so there is something here for collectors as well as for the table.
Alongside the deck you get 10 double-sided token cards, a deck box to keep the whole thing together, a strategy insert explaining how the list is meant to work, and a reference card for the mechanics. Sleeves are worth adding if you plan to play it often, since the cards ship unsleeved.
