The headline card is Arceus VSTAR, joined in the set by Shaymin VSTAR, Charizard VSTAR and Whimsicott VSTAR, with Mimikyu VMAX, Aggron VMAX and Gigantamax Kingler VMAX among the other big attackers. Brilliant Stars also debuted the Trainer Gallery, a 30-card subset of alternative artwork showing trainers alongside their Pokémon, tucked in at the back of the set numbering.
Cards from Brilliant Stars mix into any existing Pokémon collection and can be played alongside other expansions under the usual format rules.
