Between preparing for our official Set 1 Welcome to Night City pre-release on Friday 30 October, the global rollout of the digital Holophone narrative platform, and WeirdCo's recent announcement of Set 2, there is plenty happening for local edgerunners. Here is your complete update on upcoming events, current stock availability, and what lies ahead for the game.
Our Set 1 pre-release runs this Friday 30 October at 18:00 (£35 entry on Melee.gg). Holophone narrative organised play launches simultaneously on 30 October, while Set 2 Edgerunners: Burn Bright has been confirmed for Spring 2027.

Following rapid sales over the past month, our initial allocation of booster displays, loose packs, and The Heist starter decks have officially sold out. Our final remaining sealed product on shelves ahead of the 6 November retail release is the corporate-themed Arasaka starter set.

Set 1 Welcome to Night City Pre-Release: Friday 30 October
This Friday marks the start of the worldwide pre-release window for Welcome to Night City. We are hosting an official sealed-deck tournament at our venue, giving players the opportunity to crack retail boosters a full week ahead of street release.

Pre-release follows the same sealed framework as our earlier Beta tournament: players open their six booster packs, select three Legends, and assemble a 30-card minimum deck. You do not need to bring your own cards to compete.

Holophone: Narrative Organised Play Launches 30 October
Launching alongside pre-release weekend on 30 October is Holophone, an immersive digital organised play platform that connects real-world tabletop matches to an evolving story across Night City.
Rather than simply tracking wins and losses, Holophone operates as a web app accessible on phones or desktop computers. Players sign in using their existing Melee.gg credentials, select an allegiance, receive in-game jobs, and progress their narrative path by playing in local store tournaments.

Set following the events of Cyberpunk 2077, Arasaka is beginning its withdrawal from Night City. Leaked convoy routes and subnets have opened up lucrative opportunities across the city. At launch, players commit to one of three starting factions:
Arasaka
A strict, ex-military corporate executive leading internal security. Protect corporate convoys, maintain discipline, and secure your place in Arasaka's next empire.
Maelstrom
A cunning, explosive pyrotechnician determined to see corporate networks burn. Ambush Arasaka transports, disrupt high-level executives, and claim heavy bounties.
Aldecaldos
A seasoned Nomad techie and veteran of the Unification War. Intercept transports in the Badlands and navigate conflicts against rival nomad clans.
Competing in our weekly Night City Brawls earns you Street Cred in Holophone, which can be spent on exclusive in-game and physical promotional rewards. Full narrative arcs and expanded regional features are scheduled to roll out in early 2027.
Set 2 Announced: Edgerunners: Burn Bright
During the recent Creator Invitational livestream on 20 October, publisher WeirdCo officially revealed the title and theme for Cyberpunk TCG Set 2: Edgerunners: Burn Bright, arriving in hobby stores in Spring 2027.
Drawing directly from the acclaimed Netflix anime produced by Studio Trigger and CD PROJEKT RED, Set 2 expands on the foundation of Welcome to Night City. Players can look forward to new Legends, characters, weapons, and cyberware featuring iconic figures like David Martinez, Lucy, Rebecca, and Maine.
WeirdCo has confirmed that Set 2 will introduce an all-new chase rarity tier, anime-inspired textured foil treatments, and fresh gameplay mechanics. Detailed card reveals and rules text will be showcased during upcoming Edgerunner Open Regional broadcasts on Twitch and YouTube ahead of the Spring 2027 launch.
Weekly Night City Brawls Continue Thursdays
Following this Friday's pre-release, the full retail release of Welcome to Night City arrives on 6 November 2026. That same week marks the official kickoff of our weekly constructed Night City Brawls, running every Thursday evening from 18:30 to 22:00.
Brawl kits supply official participation promos and champion packs for tournament winners, with matches tracked directly through the Holophone system. Whether you are fine-tuning a competitive Arasaka control build or building a high-risk mercenary aggro deck, Thursday nights provide dedicated table space to compete.
