To Boldly Go: Star Trek Enters the Multiverse
Wizards of the Coast has set warp coordinates for one of the most storied science fiction universes in television history. Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek (set code TRK) brings sixty years of exploration, diplomatic tension, and cosmic conflict to the gaming table.
Unlike many crossover releases, this is a full Standard-legal expansion alongside accompanying Commander decks, Scene Boxes, and a dedicated bonus sheet. Whether your loyalty lies with the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, or the Borg Collective, sealed Prerelease Packs touch down at our Manston shop starting Friday 6 November 2026, ahead of the worldwide retail launch on Friday 13 November.
MTG Star Trek is legal in Standard, Pioneer, Modern, and Commander. Prerelease events run on Friday 6 and Monday 9 November at Ravenspire Games, followed by worldwide tabletop release on Friday 13 November 2026.
Prerelease Operations: 6 and 9 November
Local players across Ramsgate, Margate, Broadstairs, and surrounding areas can experience the set ahead of global retail release. We are hosting two dedicated sealed flights at our Spratling Court game space.
Sealed Deck Foundation
Every Prerelease Pack supplied for our flights contains six official Play Boosters, an exclusive traditional foil promo card, and a Spindown life counter. Each booster features at least one rare or mythic rare, one guaranteed foil, and multiple opportunities to open legendary starships or crew members.
Prerelease Flight 1 • Friday Evening
Step into the captain's chair for opening night. Build your 40-card sealed deck and compete across structured Swiss pairings.
Prerelease Flight 2 • Monday Evening
Our second official flight offers a second chance to explore sealed archetypes, test removal curves, and earn booster prize support.
Wizards recommends building a 40-card sealed deck focusing on a primary two-colour pair, approximately 17 lands, and at least 5 removal spells. Because Spacecraft and the Borg introduce far more high-impact artifacts than a typical set, artifact removal spells carry premium value during prerelease matches.
Bridge Officers Across the Generations
Three distinct booster pack arts featuring bridge officers across television history:
Tactical Subsystems: New & Returning Mechanics
Designing cards for Star Trek required mechanics that reflect starship engineering, command decisions, and the philosophical friction between diverse crews and cold collective logic.
Transporter Operations: Beam Me Up & Seek Out
Beam me up lets you recast an instant or sorcery from your graveyard by paying an alternative cost and returning a creature you control to its owner's hand, while Seek Out rewards card filtering when drawing your second card each turn:
There's Coffee in that Nebula
Demonstrates Beam Me Up. Digs five cards deep for lands or cheap permanents, and can be recast from the graveyard by returning a creature to your hand.
Energize
Bounces an opposing creature to hand, then can be beamed up from the graveyard later in the match to rescue your own threat while clearing a blocker.
Beverly Crusher, Ship's Doctor
Features Seek Out. Triggers whenever you draw your second card each turn, distributing counters across up to three creatures.
The City on the Edge of Forever
A dramatic Saga that temporarily phases out all creatures and artifacts before forcing tough sacrifice choices.
Fleet Operations: Spacecraft & Station Thresholds
Spacecraft enter the battlefield as inert artifacts. By tapping creatures with total power equal to the Station cost, you charge the vessel, transforming it into an active artifact creature:
U.S.S. Enterprise-A, Free Spirit
Enters with three red Officer tokens. Stations up at 6+ power, transforming into a 5/5 flying lifelink Spacecraft.
U.S.S. Discovery, at Black Alert
Spore-drive vessel triggering Discover 5 on attacks, stationing at 6+ power to become a 5/5 flyer.
Romulan Bird-of-Prey
Features a cloaking device that grants hexproof while inert. Noncreature spells add charge counters until it reaches station threshold.
Starfleet Academy
The premier Federation land. Taps for mana equal to the number of distinct creature types among non-Borg creatures you control.
Resistance is Futile: The Borg & Assimilation
Assimilate turns opposing or fallen creatures into 1/1 Borg artifact creatures under your control. Locutus, the Borg Cube, and dark enchantments unite this mechanical collective:
Locutus, the One Who Speaks
The white-black Borg signpost, buffing all artifact creatures and dealing direct removal damage when discarded.
Borg Cube
Affinity for artifact creatures. Enters or attacks to assimilate opposing cards, stationing at 12+ power to give all your artifact creatures flying.
Death Is Irrelevant
Grants artifact creatures indestructible and assimilates fallen creature cards directly from graveyards into the Collective.
The Best of Both Worlds
A white-blue Saga recreating Picard's assimilation by the Borg, granting artifact stat buffs before returning the captive to their owner.
Command Decisions & Strange New Worlds
Modal spells trigger dilemma payoffs, while exploration abilities scale off controlling differently named lands:
Elim Garak, Simple Tailor
Whenever you face a dilemma, each opponent loses 2 life while you gain 2 life.
Jett Reno, Problem Solver
Grows counters with each dilemma faced, converting tapping actions into card advantage.
The Traveler
Carries Strange New Worlds. His base power scales directly off the number of uniquely named lands in play.
Captain Pike, Fullness of Time
Allows you to inspect and play lands from the top of your library, growing with each unique land discovered.
Branching Timeline
Reveals top cards based on unique land names, dropping revealed permanents directly onto the battlefield.
Infinite Diversity
Copies instant and sorcery spells from your graveyard for every creature type represented across your non-Borg crew.
Klingon Honour & The Battlefront
The Klingon Empire thrives on direct combat aggression, using the Battlefront ability word to reward attacking multiple opponents:
Worf, Honor-Bound Warrior
Doubles his own power when attacking alongside crews with 8+ total power, growing larger by tapping supportive equipment.
Martok, Hero of the Empire
Showcases Battlefront. Distributes +1/+1 counters based on the number of separate opponents attacked in multiplayer games.
The Duras Sisters
Black-red Klingon signpost that replaces itself upon death with an aggressive Klingon warrior token with haste.
The Captain's Chair: Legendary Officers
Star Trek is defined by its iconic leaders. In TRK, commanding officers bring distinct tactical directions whether steering a standard deck or serving as your Commander:
Captain Jean-Luc Picard
Lord for Officer creatures. Tap seven untapped Officers to tutor any Spacecraft straight onto the battlefield with seven charge counters.
Kirk, Commanding Officer
Red-white command signpost. Exiles cards from the top of your library during attacks with 8+ total power, and can sacrifice himself to destroy troublesome artifacts.
Captain Kathryn Janeway
Enables additional land plays every turn, granting the Explore mechanic to herself and any creature entering your command.
Captain Benjamin Sisko
Generates Officer tokens for every dilemma faced, casting spells for free from among your top five library cards.
Stardates Archive & Alternate Timelines
Beyond the main set, the Stardates (SDS) bonus sheet and alternate collector treatments explore Mirror Universes, alternate timelines, and classic character iterations:
Spock, Cross-Time Captain
Reimagining Riku of Many Paths, this Temur legend triggers impulse card draw, counters, and flying tokens on modal spells.
Spock, Mirror Malefactor
A dark Mirror Universe take on Prosper, Tome-Bound, exiling cards at end step and generating Treasure tokens.
Spock, Strangely Human
Representing Stella Lee, Wild Card, copying instant and sorcery spells once multiple spells have been chained.
Mr. Spock, Science Officer
Doubles card draw unconditionally. If you would draw a card, you draw two cards instead.
Commander Data • Artist
Shows Data exploring creative expression, gaining +1/+1 counters whenever any player casts a noncreature spell.
Lt. Commander Data • Android
Features stunning cutaway artwork revealing his positronic brain, converting stored counters into card draw.
Seven of Nine, Unassimilated
Draws cards in your first main phase, growing into a formidable 7/9 threat once you control seven differently named lands.
Scotty, Transwarp Transporter
Reimagining Arcum Dagsson, sacrificing artifact creatures to fetch powerful noncreature artifacts straight into play.
